Over the many decades we've spent travelling, the Philippines has always held a special place in our hearts and been one of our very favourite South East Asian destinations to visit.
Having travelled the Philippines pretty extensively over 4 separate trips, the only place left on our wish list was to visit Palawan, known as the ‘Last Frontier of the Philippines’ because it is one of the most bio-diverse regions in the Philippines and is composed of 100s of islands, lagoons and beaches ready to be explored.
WELL as the old saying goes... Save the best for last! and that certainly was the case!
Palawan BLEW OUR MINDS!

Its time to island hop to El Nido, This can be done by catching a Montenegro Ferry, They have only recently restarted this route and as at the time of publication there is only 1 Ferry a day. We suggest you book in advance or when you arrive to Coron to avoid missing out. The office is located at the port opposite the entrance. WEBSITE: Montenegro
Nights 6-11 El Nido, Palawan
Our Accommodation Suggestion: El Nido Coco Resort
TIP: Tours B & D do not run daily and not all tour companies will offer them. You will have to book in advance so that they have a day or two to gather more people to join you or book them as a private tour. We highly suggest these 2 tours, the fact that they are not done daily by all of the tour operators means the spots you will visit are not OVERRUN with other tourists and it is a much more peaceful and beautiful experience.

Day 11 Travel Day
Today you will start your onward journey home or to your next destination in the Philippines.
We suggest taking a direct flight from El Nido and not taking the long 5+ hour drive to Puerto Princessa. You can do this with AirSwift who fly direct from El Nido to Manila, Cebu, Boracay and Bohol!
Don't forget your Travel Insurance: We have found that Covermore offers a great comprehensive Covid cover and provides a lot more transparency in what they DO and don't cover, compared to others on the market.
For the best deal on your flights we always use Skyscanner
