Getting there: Fitzroy Island is located about 45 minutes by Ferry from the Cairns Marina Precinct. There are multiple scheduled services throughout the day allowing you to stay for a half day or full day tour.
We were travelling from our Cruise Ship, at the Cruise Ship Terminal which was only a 5-10 minute walk away. Alternative if you are staying in the city it is also only minutes walk.
Cost and Booking Information:
Half Day Trip – Fitzroy Island Transfers $70 per adult and $43 per child
Full Day Trip – Fitzroy Island Transfers $86 per adult, $43 per child and $220 for a family
Dining and Drinks:
Foxy's
Foxy’s has an excellent casual cafe style food menu including kids meals and provides a wide range of beers, wine and soft drinks plus a cocktail menu and the essential cappuccino!
Is open daily for breakfast and serves the essential morning cappuccino. At night the outdoor terraces come alive with diners enjoying the alfresco settings for a la carte dining. The menu is modern Australian, using locally sourced ingredients with nightly specials available.
The General Store - is located next to Foxy’s and has all the supplies you'd expect from a general store.
